Maple Waterfall Bar top
My client came into the shop knowing she wanted a 'live edge waterfall leg bar top' for her kitchen.
We found this slab of high-figured Western Maple and it got her stamp of approval so I got to work.
From the perfect mitre cut to filing down the spiked burl points on the live edge the fine details, along with the finish, make this countertop so stunning.

Copper Moon Oak Mirror
Emulating "Arts and Crafts" style construction was the challenge for this build.
Made of red oak that's undergone an oxidizing process to turn it black, and completed with hand-hammered copper details this mirror/shelf is easily hung with a ledger mount.
I feel like the tiny brass pins on the sides are the icing on the cake.

Spoons over the years
I love to carve spoons. You can generally find a variety available for purchase in my shop.
When I'm puzzling over problems in the shop I grab a chunk of wood and ponder while carving a spoon. It's a wonderful way to create something from scratch and sometimes they're just wonderful.
There's lots for you to look at in this album - please enjoy!

Sakura Tea Cabinet
Spring on Vancouver Island is the prettiest. I wanted to make a cabinet that honoured the vibrant mosses and bright cherry blossoms that seemingly just pop out of nowhere.
This cabinet is my way of paying homage to the most wonderful change of seasons.

Wall Carvings
Carving wood is simply the best & I love a feature wall so I carve these pieces. I mostly carve thinking of the West Coast and the natural beauty it so effortlessly displays and I hope my works speaks to that.
You'll find some of them available for purchase in my shop.

Red Moon Rising Table
Working with wood can come with challenges and I despise the thought that every chunk of wood that has a crack in it is immediately firewood.
This Western Maple table has Purple Heart round inlays that are set into the cracks with dowels and inky black epoxy.
Mounted on hairpin legs it's a modern piece that commands attention.

Douglas Fir Custom Stair Treads
My client was building a home on family land and had felled Douglas Fir trees in abundance on the property. I milled the trees to specifications to meet what's needed for the stringers and treads. I laminated & sanded the treads and the home builders did a wonderful job of finishing and installation. This staircase is a beautiful addition to a new home using wood that's been on family property for generations is incredibly special.
